Funded under the\u00a02nd open call<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0OSCARS project<\/a>, the\u00a0ERIHAD.OS<\/a>\u00a0(Ethical Research Infrastructure for Hateful, Antidemocratic, and Discriminatory Data)\u00a0project develops a secure, federated research infrastructure that enables ethical discovery, controlled access, and analysis of sensitive hateful, antidemocratic, and discriminatory datasets which are otherwise inaccessible for research due to ethical and legal constraints. ERIHAD.OS brings together academic archives, NGO datasets, monitoring initiatives and trusted flaggers to support interdisciplinary research on racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, antigypsyism, online radicalisation, and other socially divisive narratives. Tero participates in the project as a consortium partner, contributing to the development of the infrastructure and tools for ethical analysis of sensitive data within the EOSC ecosystem.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Cooperation Partnerships\u00a0ERASMUS-SPORT-2025-SCP<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0Erasmus+<\/a>\u00a0programme, the project\u00a0AGEFORCE<\/a> promotes participation for all by empowering older adults to co-create initiatives that enhance their physical activity levels through a bottom-up citizen engagement framework. By combining participatory citizen science with the concept of Communities of Interest, AGEFORCE fosters innovative offline and digital solutions that motivate active living and strengthen social inclusion. Tero serves as the project coordinator, guiding overall management and ensuring that all activities are carried out effectively while supporting the broad dissemination of the project\u2019s outcomes.<\/p>\n

Funded under the Small Cooperation Partnerships\u00a0ERASMUS-SPORT-2025-SSCP<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0Erasmus+<\/a>\u00a0programme,\u00a0TIME4SPORTS<\/a>\u00a0aims to empower student-athletes by providing a comprehensive framework of practical time-management tools and training modules that enhance both their academic and athletic performance. The project develops an innovative blended learning programme, and creates a digital resource platform while ensuring wide dissemination and stakeholder engagement. Tero serves as the project coordinator, guiding overall management and ensuring that all activities are carried out effectively while supporting the broad dissemination of the project\u2019s outcomes.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) <\/a>programme, the HeatInvest<\/a> project, aims to strengthen innovation and investment in heat pump and geothermal technologies, promoting collaboration between regions with different levels of technological maturity. Tero participates as a subcontractor of DDRI\u00dc Nonprofit Ltd<\/a>., contributing to the development of a comprehensive funding opportunities database (EU, national, and regional). This database supports stakeholders, businesses, and investors in accessing suitable funding instruments and enhances innovation and investment potential in the clean energy sector.<\/p>\n

\n

The CARE <\/a>\u00a0project (Community-based Active-cycling and Recreation for Elderly)<\/b> is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+<\/a> Sport programme (ERASMUS-SPORT-2025-SSCP<\/a>). It aims to promote active aging and social participation of older adults through cycling and the creation of safe, senior-friendly sports spaces. Tero leads the development and management of the project\u2019s digital tools and website, designs and implements the dissemination and communication strategy, and supports consultation activities and intergenerational cycling events, fostering older adults\u2019 engagement and connections with younger volunteers.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Cooperation Partnerships ERASMUS-SPORT-2025-SSCP<\/a> of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project Creative Motion<\/a> (Enhancing Active Ageing Through Theatre and Movement)<\/b> aims to promote active ageing through theatre-based expression, movement activities, and gentle exercise. Tero leads the project as coordinator, overseeing overall management and coordination, while ensuring the implementation of activities and the dissemination of results.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Cooperation Partnerships ERASMUS-SPORT-2024-SCP<\/a> of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project Nudging2Move<\/a> supports the participation for all, in sports and physical activities, by developing innovative tools based on the concept of nudges to promote active mobility and active living in urban environments. Tero is coordinating this 2-year project.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the\u00a0European Urban Initiative<\/a>\u00a0programme,\u00a0NatUR-W<\/a>\u00a0(Nature-based Urban Regeneration through Water: Integrating the water cycle in urban renaturalization)\u00a0aims to address urban challenges brought by energy poverty and climate change, in particular extreme heat events and water scarcity. Through this project, the city of Lorca in Murcia is developing and implementing NatUR-W Plans to meet these challenges. Tero works on dissemination and communication activities, as a subcontractor of the\u00a0Centre on Integrated and Multi-Disciplinary Water Resources Management (CIMWRM)<\/a>, and on the planning and implementation of pilot actions as a subcontractor of the\u00a0Municipality of Fyli<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Funded under the\u00a0Interreg Europe<\/a>\u00a0programme, the project DEPART – Support the DEveloPment of a sustAinable spoRts Tourism in Europe<\/a>\u00a0aims at improving the implementation of regional policies in the field of Sustainable Sports Tourism, building on the competitive advantages of the involved regions. Tero works on dissemination and communication activities, as a subcontractor of the Department of Physical Education & Sport Science in the Aristotle University Of Thessaloniki<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Funded under the\u00a0Interreg Europe<\/a>\u00a0programme, the project Green4HEAT – Accelerating the uptake of green heating and cooling solutions across EU territories<\/a> aims to support the participating regions\u2019 efforts towards sustainable district heating, by enabling them to improve territorial heat planning, streamline their policies to support the uptake of green technologies (such as heat pumps) and the deployment of state-of-the-art heat networks, and actively involve territorial stakeholders and citizens. Tero participates in the project by providing the methodology for mapping locations and intensifying territorial barriers regarding the development of heat networks in Green4HEAT territories, as a subcontractor of the National Agency for Regional Development<\/a> in Lithuania.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships ERASMUS-SPORT-2024-SSCP<\/a> of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project REBOUND<\/a> supports the objective of promoting environmental awareness in sports and encouraging ecological sustainability. It focuses on the development and implementation of educational training for the staff and athletes of all ages in basketball clubs, emphasizing the application of circular economy methods in the operational procedures of the clubs.<\/p>\n

Funded under the \u201cKA220-SCH \u2013 Cooperation partnerships in school education\u201d of the Erasmus+<\/a>, DigiGap<\/a> aims to empower students to become digital educators within their own families, fostering a unique role reversal where children teach their families essential digital skills. Through this innovative action plan, DigiGap aims to bridge the digital divide between students and their families, enabling them to navigate the modern world with confidence. Tero works closely with Moraitis school supporting the Greek case study research activities of the project. Tero is also leading the Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation activities of the project.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interreg Europe<\/a> program, the project RAW4RES<\/a> enhances the resilience and sustainability of the EU’s Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) supply chain. It tackles Europe\u2019s dependence on imports, limited domestic mining, and weak recycling infrastructures. As part of the project, Tero, as a subcontractor of BSC, Business Support Centre, Ltd.<\/a>, has two key reports to develop related to the promotion of sustainable technologies and practices in raw material value chains.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the HORIZON-CL5-2023-D1-01-09<\/a> topic of Horizon Europe<\/a>, the project PRO-CLIMATE: Proactive community adaptation to climate change through social transformation and behavioural change<\/a> aims to enable system transformation across social systems to support societies cope with climate change. To achieve this, PRO-CLIMATE will identify social tipping points and policy actions, develop strategies and interventions that promote social transformation, and develop a robust framework for designing effective methodologies and tools to foster proactively adaptive behaviours that facilitate transformative changes. Tero is the coordinator of the project and also works on research, dissemination, communication and exploitation activities.<\/p>\n

Funded under the\u00a0Interreg Europe<\/a> programme, the project RAW4RES – Enhancing responsible mining policies and raw materials resilience in EU regions<\/a> aims to address the need for improved policy support for raw materials resilience in European regions, while also promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible mining policies in a circular economy. Tero works on activities to valorise mining waste and to revitalise closed mines, as a subcontractor of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships (ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SSCP<\/a>) call of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project IPR-A<\/a> addresses the objective of \u201cencouraging Dual Careers of Athletes\u201d by formulating and carrying out a training program for athletes during and after the end of their involvement in sports, focused on their training on a specific field of entrepreneurship skills, the Intellectual Property Rights Skills. Tero is coordinating the project and also works on dissemination and communication activities.<\/p>\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships (ERASMUS-SPORT-2023-SSCP<\/a>) call of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project Basketball-KTN<\/a> is delivering a hybrid knowledge transfer network model to be used for the exchange of experiences and for the promotion of basketball engagement and development in periods of crisis. Tero participates in project management and dissemination activities, as a subcontractor of Evnikos Sport Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the of HORIZON-CL3-2022-SSRI-01-04<\/a> topic of Horizon Europe<\/a>, the project CO-SECUR: Knowledge building and social innovation for a successful, more effective and CO-produce urban SECURity solutions<\/a>, aims to build knowledge and a suite of tools, including a Societal Development Plan (SDP) to foster and accelerate the adoption of social innovations and responsible innovation principles that contribute to successful, more effective, and co-produced security solutions for public spaces (with special focus on massive events and crowded places), generating trust, acceptance, increasing security, security perception, and security behaviour. Tero leads the exploitation activities within the project and participates in the implementation of the Greek case studies.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the HORIZON-CL6-2022-BIODIV-01-09<\/a> topic of Horizon Europe<\/a>, the project Pro-Coast: A PROactive approach for COmmunities to enAble Societal Transformation<\/a> develops knowledge and tools to understand the role of transformative change for biodiversity policy making, address the indirect drivers of biodiversity loss, and initiate, accelerate and upscale biodiversity-relevant transformative changes in our society. The project’s ultimate goal is to encourage and empower communities of citizens (especially local people) to maintain and restore biodiversity and ecosystem services in their areas, and to involve them more actively in environmental governance. Tero participates in project management, dissemination, exploitation and research activities.<\/p>\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships (ERASMUS-SPORT-2023-SSCP<\/a>) call of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project ASSIST<\/a> addresses the objective of \u201cpromoting equality and European values in and through sport\u201d by adopting the use of traditional games in training tactics for an easier and more enjoyable engagement of children with the sport of basketball. Tero participates in project management and dissemination activities, as a subcontractor of Evnikos Sport Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships (ERASMUS-SPORT-2023-SSCP<\/a>) call of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project WalkingBus<\/a> addresses the objective \u2018Encouraging a healthy lifestyle for all\u2019 with a specific focus on children by supporting walking adoption as a means of commuting to school and other after-school activities that can improve the physical condition of children. Tero is working on project evaluation and policy support.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interreg Europe<\/a> programme, the project BIOWIND – Increasing social acceptance for wind energy in EU regions through environmental and community based planning<\/a> set forward an integrated wind planning approach addressing all dimensions of the \u201cClimate-Biodiversity-Public opinion\u201d nexus, to enhance social acceptance and secure sustainable wind energy expansion. Tero works on the exchange of practices to improve the social acceptance of wind energy in line with biodiversity conservation requirements, as a subcontractor of FAEN<\/a> – the Asturian Energy Foundation.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area Programme (PRIMA)<\/a>, the project \u201cNatMED<\/a> Nature-based Solutions on Existing Infrastructures for Resilient Water Management in the Mediterranean\u201d aims at developing, implementing and validating a set of Full Water-Cycle Nature-based Solutions, integrated into existing grey or natural water infrastructures and based on specific phases of the water cycle, for optimizing the provision of Ecosystem Services, empowering stakeholders and local communities and leading to resilient water management in the Mediterranean Region. Tero leads the dissemination activities and the establishment of the Mediterranean Community of Practice within the project and participates in the implementation of the Greek case study.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interconnected Innovation Ecosystems<\/a> theme of Horizon Europe<\/a>, the project \u201cInno-mob<\/a> Unlocking the potential of the Mobility Innovation Ecosystems and Networks\u201d focuses on the opportunities that initiatives and networks offer to innovative and dynamic businesses through an inclusive mobility innovation European ecosystem business support framework. Tero participates in project management, dissemination and exploitation activities as subcontractor of OK!Thess<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships (ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SSCP<\/a>) call of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project SafeCycle4Kids<\/a> aims at Enhancing physical activity uptake for children through the provision of safe cycle interventions. Tero participates in project management, dissemination and exploitation activities as subcontractor of Physis Outdoor Training Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Small-scale partnerships (ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SSCP<\/a>) call of the Erasmus+<\/a> programme, the project Bask@School<\/a> is using basketball as a reference to identify different forms of relationship between sport clubs and schools and set guidelines to develop policies for clubs and school to promote together their own projects stimulating the participation of children and young people in sport. Tero participates in project management, dissemination and exploitation activities as subcontractor of Physis Outdoor Training Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Action \u201cInvestment Plans for Innovation<\/a>\u201d of the Operational Program of Region of Central Macedonia 2014-2020, the project “Development and operation of technological applications for the promotion of cycling tourism in Region of Central Macedonia – GoBike<\/a>” proposes the development and operation of a technological system of a web platform and an application (app) for smart devices that will provide information services on cycling paths in Olympus mountain and the peripheral Seih Sou forest in Thessaloniki, evaluated according to the level of difficulty and accompanied by relevant touristic information. Tero coordinates the project.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under challenge “Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials”<\/a> of the Horizon 2020 programme, the project \u2018SCORE<\/a>-Smart Control of the Climate Resilience in European Coastal Cities\u2019 aims to reduce the impacts of sea-level rise and extreme events due to climate change on European coastal cities and settlements by means of co-designed, co-developed, deployed, tested and demonstrated innovative Ecosystem-Based Approaches (EBA), smart technologies and hybrid Nature-Based Solutions (NBSs), while facilitating financial sustainability. Tero is participating in research and dissemination activities, focusing on the design of strategies to increase the financial resilience of coastal cities, on socio-economic assessments and on the development of actionable policy recommendations.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the “Improving health information and better use of health data” topic of the Horizon 2020 programme, the project “SPHINX-A Universal Cyber Security Toolkit for Health-Care Industry” will ensure the cyber protection of the health IT ecosystem for patient data privacy and integrity by developing a Universal Cyber Security Toolkit. Tero provides IT expertise in the development of the software and maintenance of the server, as a subcontractor of VILABS.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interreg Europe<\/a> programme, the project \u00abRECREATE<\/a>-REinforce Competitiveness of REgionAl Transport SMEs\u00bb aims to improve the capacity and capability of regional transport SMEs to further develop and grow. This includes identification and development of support mechanisms for R&D, rapid development and implementation of products and services, access to finance schemes and internationalisation opportunities. RECREATE will ultimately deliver Action Plans and policy recommendations for evidence -based policy improvement. Tero carried out the \u201cMapping of the transport SMEcompetitiveness support and innovations schemes and policies in the South Aegean Region\u201d and the collection and evaluation of Regions\u2019 Good Practices, while it participated in networking activities, as a subcontractor of Lever S.A.<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the programme Interreg Europe<\/a>, the project Plasteco – Supporting EU regions to curb plastics waste and littering<\/a> will support participating territories to take the steps necessary for a transition towards a \u201cnew plastics economy\u201d. Tero develops an input paper on how to support regional businesses to invest on eco-innovation in plastic production and reuse, as a subcontractor of the Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes<\/a> regional environment agency in France.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Operational Program\u00a0\u201cCompetitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation\u201d (EPAnEK)<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Research, Create, Innovate<\/a>, the\u00a0GenOptics<\/a> project aims to implement a new platform for integrating, analyzing and visualizing multi-omics and other clinic-biological data, by extending the functionality of established bioinformatics analysis tools through an interactive visual dashboard. Tero participates in research actions related to the recording, standardization, and integration of heterogeneous and multi-omics biodata.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the transnational cooperation programme\u00a0Interreg \u2013 IPA CBC Greece-Albania<\/a>, the project \u201cRIVER 2 RIVER<\/a> – Joint Actions and Networking for Sustainable Management, Environmental Monitoring and Protection of Surface Waters\u201d aims to promote and ensure best practice restoration and management of rivers and their catchments under the EU WFD combining \u201cGreen Infrastructure\u201d approach and water governance initiatives. Tero developed the project\u2019s web applications\u00a0(website, technical platform & multi-stakeholder forum,\u00a0GIS Platform for Urban Streams), as well as a Gamification app for mobile phones, as a subcontractor of the\u00a0Municipality of Metsovo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the transnational cooperation programme\u00a0Interreg \u2013 IPA CBC Greece-Albania<\/a>, the project \u00abINTERNET OF BINS<\/a>\u00a0– Joint Initiatives for Smart and Sustainable Municipal Solid Waste Management\u00bb aims to strengthening CBC between Greece and Albania within the context of sustainable waste management by creating a self-sustainable network of local and regional organisations. Tero developed the mobile and web applications<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>regarding smart waste management, as a subcontractor of the\u00a0Municipality of Metsovo<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Funded by the\u00a0Demographic Change and Women’s Participation in Transport<\/a>\u00a0priority under Horizon 2020, the TINNGO<\/a> project aims to create a framework for a sustainable game change in European transport through a transformative strategy of gender and diversity sensitive smart mobility. Tero participates in research and project management activities as a subcontractor of Lever SA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the\u00a0Interreg Europe<\/a>\u00a0programme, the\u00a0INVALIS project \u201cProtecting European Biodiversity from Invasive Alien Species\u201d<\/a>\u00a0aims to improve policies on biodiversity and environmental protection, by supporting policy measures for the prevention, early detection, control and eradication of invasive alien species in natural ecosystems.\u00a0Tero is developing a comparative analysis of territorial policies on IAS management and on identifying good practices and case studies regarding IAS management, as a subcontractor of\u00a0ICETA – Institute of Sciences, Technologies and Agro-environment<\/a>\u00a0of the University of Porto in Portugal.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the transnational cooperationi programme Interreg – IPA CBC<\/a>, the project TRAP – Transboundary Air Pollution Health Index Development and Implementation<\/a> is developing a methodology and tools for assessing and improving air quality using health indexing in the transboundary area of Greece – North Macedonia. Tero participates in management and in scientific research activities, as a subcontractor ofr the Environment Centre of Kozani<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Thematic Priority Smart Cities and Communities<\/a> of Horizon 2020<\/a>, the project STARDUST<\/a> is developing a smart cities network that are implementing and validating technical green solutions and innovative non-technical solutions, enabling them to be bankable and replicable for other cities so that they all become smart, highly efficient, intelligent and citizen-oriented.Tero participates in management activities, as a subcontractor of the Municipality of Kozani<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interreg Europe<\/a>\u00a0programme, the project\u00a0\u201cDeCarb – Supporting the clean energy transition of coal intensive EU regions\u201d<\/a>\u00a0brings together 9 partners from 9 countries to exchange experiences & transfer knowledge on how to transition from the carbon-intensive era towards the clean energy future, supporting regions to secure sustainable development, economic & societal stability, and a role in the 2030 energy mix. Tero\u00a0is developing and implementing the methodology to assess the socio-economic impact of decarbonisation on the respective regions, as a subcontractor of the Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency<\/a>\u00a0in Bulgaria.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interreg Mediterranean<\/a>\u00a0programme, the INHERIT<\/a>\u00a0project aims to conserve and valorise natural heritage in Mediterranean coastal and maritime tourist destinations, alleviating the adverse effects of overcapacity tourism in these areas through the promotion of sustainable tourism. Tero is developing a methodology and guidelines for the integration of the INHERIT approach in Integrated Coastal Zone Management practices in MED areas, as a subcontractor of the Seneca Foundation – Science and Technology Agency for the Region of Murcia<\/a>\u00a0\u03c3\u03c4\u03b7\u03bd \u0399\u03c3\u03c0\u03b1\u03bd\u03af\u03b1.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Interreg Europe<\/a> programme, the \u201cEXTRA-SME\u2019s<\/a>\u201d project aims to improve policies in order to boost SME competitiveness and extraversion in EU coastal and rural areas where aquaculture is a driver of the regional economy. Tero is developing a research methodology to map factors constraining SMEs internationalisation, as a subcontractor of the National Regions Development Agency<\/a> in Lithuania.<\/p>\n

Funded under the Interreg Europe<\/a> programme, the project INNOTRANS<\/a> will map regional transport innovation capacity and identify the competitive advantage of 5 European regions. It will further develop guidelines for policy interventions and appropriate regional Action Plans. Tero is working on all aspects of the project as a subcontractor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Funded under the Mobility for Growth thematic area of Horizon 2020<\/a>, the project SUITS<\/a> aims to share best practice and develop a range of materials to enable, in particular, small and medium-sized cities to increase capacity to finance and implement sustainable transport measures or Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). Tero is participating in research and project management activities as a subcontractor of Lever SA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Funded under the <\/span>Interreg Europe<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>programme, the project\u00a0Skills+<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>aims at advancing public policies promoting information and communication technologies (ICT) skills among SMEs in rural areas helping them seize fully the opportunities offered by a digital single market and benefits of a digital economy. <\/span>Tero\u00a0is supporting the project\u2019s communication activities and the development of a regional action plan, as a subcontractor of the <\/span>University of Western Macedonia<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the Beyond Plastic Med initiative (BeMed)<\/a>, and jointly sponsored by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Tara Expeditions Foundation, Surfrider Foundation Europe and the Mava Foundation, the project Networking against plastic pollution<\/a> aims at tightly integrating actions against plastic pollution into everyday life, by targeting families as potential actors capable of making the difference in maintaining clean Mediterranean beaches.<\/p>\n

\n

Funded under the programme Interreg Greece – Bulgaria 2014-2020, the project CULTURAL DIPOLE<\/a> – Creation of a Cultural Dipole in the cross-border area, aims at creating two new museums in Serres and in Petrich. The museums will act as a platform for the development of two abandoned army camps into Cultural Parks of international interest, housing cultural heritage treasures of the two areas. Tero participates in promotion and dissemination activities as subcontractor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Funded under the PRAXE<\/a> programme, the project WATERMAN<\/a> concerns the market research and establishment of a company, offering environmental consulting and water resource management services. The company is a spin-off of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and its establishment is being funded by the General Secretariat for Resarch and Technology<\/a> of the Greek Ministry of Development<\/a>.
\nTero conducted the market research and prepared the business plan of the company. Tero also organised and participated in events to present the company to potential clients and investors.<\/p>\n
